Senior Technical Director

Reporting directly to the VP of Search, the Director, and Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the technical aspects of our search business. This leadership position will oversee and manage both the Product, Operations, and Quality teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with our strategic goals.



  • Provide strategic leadership in the technical domain, driving innovation and ensuring the continuous enhancement of our search capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Search to align technical strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations and Quality, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless integration of technical solutions into our search platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical requirements.
  • Work closely with the Development team to manage sprints and prioritize tasks
  • Manage and oversee the establishment and maintenance of robust quality assurance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality surveillance and monitoring from the quality team.
  • Implement best practices for testing, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the technical roadmap, aligning with business objectives and market trends.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance search quality, performance, and search provider satisfaction.
  • Oversee and coordinate the high-level technical partnership with strategic partnerships within the search business.


  • Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role within the Tech industry – at least 5 years – MUST!
  • Experience in leading and managing a team- MUST!
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and driving technical innovation.
  • Strong understanding of search algorithms, machine learning, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong technical leadership, analytic, and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
